Falcon Building Group partnered with Cradle Mountain Hotel to upgrade 15 guest bathrooms, enhancing comfort, functionality and overall guest experience at this iconic Tasmanian destination.

The previous bathrooms were dated and enclosed, with older corner shoers, spa baths and ageing finishes. Falcon Building Group delivered a complete transformation, introducing warm stone tiling, custom timber vanities, matte black finishes and spacious walk-in showers that reflect the natural, calming atmosphere of the Cradle Mountain region.

Timelines & Expectations

Works were carefully stages to minimise disruption, allowing rooms to remain in operation throughout the refurbishment. By coordinating closely with the hotel team, Falcon Building Group sequenced trades around room availability and guest turnover, ensuring the 12-week program progressed smoothly despite the challenges of remote site access and variable alpine conditions.

Scope of Work

Falcon Building Group delivered a full bathroom upgrade across 15 rooms, including:

·       Removal of existing showers, spa baths and outdated tiling

·       Installation of new walk-in showers with matte black tapware

·       Full height tiling to modernise and brighten each space

·       Custom timber vanities for warmth and durability

·       New lighting, mirrors and accessories

·       Updated plumbing fixtures and service adjustments

·       Repainting, finishing and quality checks across all rooms

Challenges & Key Outcomes

Working in remote alpine environment meant carefully managing logistics, weather impacts and material deliveries, while also sequencing trades around live hotel operations to minimise disruption for guests. Despite these constraints, Falcon Building Group delivered a consistent, high-quality finish across all 15 rooms, upgrading the bathrooms with durable materials, modern fixtures and a warm, contemporary design that significantly lifts the overall guest experience and supports the hotels ongoing improvement program.
