Following the successful delivery of the Abattoir and Classroom, Falcon Building Group was engaged by Springfield Deer Farm to transform an existing farm building into premium guest accommodation.

Designed for visitors attending Springfield Deer Farm’s immersive butchery masterclasses, farm-to-plate experiences, and agritourism stays, the fit out offers modern comfort and functionality while retaining a strong connection to the surrounding rural setting.

Timelines & Expectations

The project was scheduled to ensure the accommodation was ready for Springfield Deer Farm’s upcoming guest program, including peak tourism periods. Expectations were set around delivering a polished, high quality space that would align with Springfield’s premium brand while being durable enough for a frequent rise in a working farm environment.

Falcon Building Group’s team staged works to make the most of the existing structure while introducing new services, insulation and finishes, handing over the completed accommodation on time and to a high standard.

Scope Of Work

Falcon Building Groups work included:

• Complete internal fit out of a shed structure to create self contained accommodation units
• Bedrooms with built-in rooms, natural light and direct access to outdoor areas
• Fully equipped kitchenettes with quality appliances, stone look benchtops and ample storage
• Modern bathrooms with full height tiling, walk in showers and premium fittings
• Acoustic insulation, climate control and upgraded lighting for year round comfort
• Installation of new external doors and windows to improve natural light, access and ventilation
• New flashings installed for a clean, finished exterior appearance

Challenges & Key Outcomes

Working with the constraints of an existing farm building required careful planning to integrate new plumbing, electrical and ventilation systems without impacting the structure’s integrity. The transformation was achieved through precision carpentry, efficient coordination of trades, and the selection of finishes that balanced durability with guest appeal. The result is a space that feels welcoming and functional.
