Project 1: Strahan Sports Centre

The new Strahan Sports Centre is situated next to the town’s football oval and tennis courts, making it a fantastic addition to the sporting precinct. The centre includes an indoor basketball court, gym, changing rooms, kiosk, and storage areas.

The creative design consists of three distinct interconnected ‘pods’, each with a single gable roof. This design feature breaks up the visual bulk of the building. The building’s combination of heritage and neutral colors ensures that it blends in with the local environment for which Strahan is renowned.

The new sports centre will be a great facility for both locals and visitors, and it is expected to be completed in early 2025. Take a look through the gallery below, showing the great progress being made at the Strahan Sports Centre.

Project 2: Zeehan Sports Centre

The Zeehan Sports Centre is a renovation of the current gym, squash courts, and public swimming pool. The existing buildings have served the community well over many years. This project aims to retain and upgrade areas of the existing facilities while also constructing new areas to provide an updated and functional facility.

The finished project will include a squash court, gym, reception area, kiosk, new changing rooms, and a multipurpose hall. With the existing pool facilities being upgraded, this facility will be another great asset for the West Coast community.
